About G. Robert Frazier
G. Robert Frazier is a Nashville-based author and screenwriter. His script “ZARS: Zombie Apprehension & Relocation Service” was a finalist in the 2019 Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competition in the Scripted Digital Series category. Another script, “Kings of Mississippi,” co-written by Jay Wright, was a semifinalist in the Nashville Film Festival’s Screenwriting Competition and The Script Lab’s Free Screenwriting Contest. “Bill Fisher’s Trading Post” and the short script “Skin” were both semifinalists in the Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting contests. G. Robert is a member of the Tennessee Screenwriting Association.
His short fiction has appeared in two volumes of Our Voices: Williamson County Literary Review. He also wrote a flash-fiction piece, “The Twister,” which appeared in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine’s November 2015 issue. He is currently working on a mystery novel.
G. Robert writes book reviews for Bookpage and Chapter 16, and has previously written book reviews for Killer Nashville, Blogging for Books, and US Review of Books. He has interviewed several authors for The Big Thrill, the online magazine of the International Thriller Writers and this site.
He has served as a script competition reader for a pair of screenwriting competitions, having read and rated more than 1,000 scripts.
G. Robert began his career as a newspaper reporter. He routinely covered local and county governments, politics, business, crime and courts, and education stories in Tennessee. As the managing editor of The Columbia Times, The Review Appeal, and The Daily News Journal newspapers, he received numerous awards from the Tennessee Press Association and The Associated Press.
